First Candles- Then We Eat
Join our fun candle-making sessions to learn a new skill! Each session lasts about 2 hours, and if package includes food, you can enjoy it after the session while your candles cure for an additional hour. For perfuming sessions, enjoy your food beforehand, but note that it can't be consumed during the event. Please be aware that this may affect pricing.
Location & Parking
The entrance to Black Phlox Studios is located on VAN BUREN STREET. Please enter 1110 VAN BUREN SUITE 2, Houston, TX 19 into your GPS to reach our front door directly. If you prefer a longer route, our curation studio is situated in the Montrose area 1210 W. Clay St, Suite 2. When you arrive at the front door of Tribeca Lofts, simply enter 0010# on the. The rear entrance to Black Phlox Studio is the last door on the right. We are easily accessible by car and public transport. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early for your scheduled session, sessions start on time and refunds are not provided. For assistance, call 713-936-6814. Please consider parking and entry logistics, and email info@blackphlox.com for any. Black Phlox Studios is not liable for unattended vehicles or violations of parking laws. Ensure you park in designated areas for the building where your session is taking place.
Timing is everything
Black Phlox takes pride in offering excellent products along with prompt service. Each session will start exactly as scheduled, so please factor in extra time for parking and arrival. Refunds will not be issued for tardiness, and there is no assurance that additional sessions will be available. Make sure to electronically sign the required waiver before your arrival.
Photography
Participants who do not wish to be photographed must inform your facilitator as soon as possible. All photos are subject to use within our social media platforms with consent. Black Phlox does not sell information nor photographs to other vendors for use.
Visitors & Children
Black Phlox does not allow additional visitors on site during candle or perfume/cologne making sessions. Minors over the age of ten (10) are allowed to participate, however each must a paid participant AND accompanied by a paid adult. Limit two (2) children for each (1) paid adult per session. This will be strictly adhered to for each experience. Participants may be asked to present photo identification for proof of age. Public sessions are often full so please contact your facilitator before bringing additional guests to ensure we can accommodate them.
Cure Time & Shipping
As expected, candles take time to cure & prep for use. This process takes approximately 2 hours. During this time, we suggest that participants grab a bite to eat in the wonderful downtown area. There are several eateries within a short driving distance. Your facilitators may be able to offer wonderful suggestions on great local places. Outside food or drink is not allowed during Black Phlox events unless it is purchased with the event option.
You may also choose not to return. Clients may now prepay for shipping as soon as the next business day after your event. Some clients may also prearrange for delivery to one location offering even more convenience for your experience. Ask your facilitator for details & pricing information.
