A: Just one person can book. Whether you're planning a solo creative break, a date night in Montrose, or a team event near Midtown, we've got you covered.  Every session is staff-guided and runs about 1.5-2 hours.   is needed to make a reservation at Black Phlox. Whether you're interested in our perfume, cologne, or candle-making workshops, you can easily book your spot alone. Our workshops are designed to ensure that every participant, regardless of group size, has an amazing experience exploring the art of fragrance creation.

Is there an age requirement to particpate in the Black Phlox experience?

Due to the nature of these products and for safety of all participants, Black Phlox does not hold parties with participants under the age of 12.  Proper identification may be required.

What happens if you're late to a Black Phlox workshop?

We get it—life happens! At Black Phlox, we offer a 10-15 minute grace period for late arrivals to our workshops. But if you're more than 30 minutes late, you might not be able to join in, as we want to keep the experience smooth for everyone. Heads up: missed workshops due to tardiness can't be rescheduled or refunded. Plan ahead so you can dive into the fun without a hitch!

Black Phlox does allow consumption of wine within our studio.  Consumption of any alcohol follows all applicable laws including age.  Additional fees will apply.

How long are the candle and perfume making workshops at Black Phlox ?

Both experiences are fully guided by our staff and last about 1.5-2 hours.  Candle making includes vessels selection, scent blending and pouring your candle.  Perfume & cologne making includes blending from over 200 fragrance notes and taking home a custom 30ml creation.
