A: Only one person is needed to make a reservation at Black Phlox. Whether you're interested in our perfume, cologne, or candle-making workshops, you can easily book your spot alone. Our workshops are designed to ensure that every participant, regardless of group size, has an amazing experience exploring the art of fragrance creation.

Due to the nature of these products and for safety of all participants, Black Phlox does not hold parties with participants under the age of 12. Proper identification may be required.

A: At Black Phlox, we prioritize the safety of both our staff and customers. For this reason, we encourage non-cash transactions for purchases. You can conveniently pay using credit or debit cards, and we also accept digital payments through platforms like Zelle, CashApp, and Venmo. While we try not to accept cash for purchases, we do welcome cash tips for our staff. If you prefer to tip via digital methods, you can also use Zelle, CashApp, or Venmo. A: At Black Phlox, we strive to provide an exceptional and uninterrupted experience for all participants in our fragrance workshops, whether it's for making perfume, cologne, or candles. We understand that unforeseen delays can occur, so we offer a 10-15 minute grace period for late arrivals. However, if you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you may not be allowed to attend the workshop to ensure minimal disruption to others. Please note that we do not offer reschedules or refunds for missed workshops due to late arrival. We encourage you to plan your travel time accordingly to fully enjoy the creative journey at Black Phlox.

Black Phlox does allow consumption of wine within our studio. Consumption of any alcohol follows all applicable laws including age. Additional fees will apply.

Yes, we pride ourselves on safety first. All partiicpants must practice local, state, and federal regulations including social distancing, when applicable. - Heightened cleaning protocol. We frequently sanitize common surfaces. Social distancing. Establish practices to encourage social distancing. This may include limiting the number of participants allowed to participate at one time. Change operations. Look for ways to minimize social interaction. E.g., curb-side pick-up, new technologies, reconfiguring lay-outs, or discontinuing certain practices. -We consitiently train employees on best practices. Make sure your employees are washing their hands and understand other protocols you are putting in place to minimize risks. -Requiring face masks. Based on local and state ordinances, we may require patrons and employees to wear masks. This is especially good idea if social distancing is difficult. -Taking temperatures. This is permissible, as long as it is done for all participants.

A: At Black Phlox, we strongly recommend making an appointment for our any workshop to ensure your spot. Reservations fill up fast due to high demand, and our schedules are constantly updated and posted on our website under the "Book a Workshop" section. Walk-ins are welcome, but we cannot guarantee availability without a prior reservation. Our workshops are typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 1pm and 6pm, and on Sunday and Monday at 1pm and 4:30pm. Booking in advance will help secure your preferred time and provide the best experience possible.

Anyone can book an event with Black Phlox via our website under the "Book a Workshop" section. If you would like a more private event that allows grouped seating & bringing food into the studio, clients need to schedule an in studio preservice consultation. During this 30-minute call we will discuss how a link is created for groups, food specifications, and even how to add complimentary message photos display.

You can schedule an event with Black Phlox with as little as 10 participants for in studio events. For off-site events and our Phlox Noir Aroma Lounge (mobile services) there must be a minimum of 25 participants.

Bringing food into the studio requires an additional fee & a minimum number of participants during a specific event. Please schedule a free 30-minute phone consultation appointment for additional information & details.

Great question! Hosts need to reserve at least 20 individual seats, and all seats must be reserved at least 30 days in advance to remove seats from the general public. Those seats allocated but not reserved at least 14 days in advance of any event will automatically be returned to the general public for booking.

Unfortunately, participants not scheduled for an event are not allowed to attend sessions unless they are guardians of minors.

You are welcome to reschedule your workshop up to 48 hours prior to your session. All workshops are non-refundable.

At Black Phlox we understand that life happens, and we can run behind schedule. Out of respect for our clients, participants arriving more than 30 minutes late may not be allowed to complete their workshop. No-show clients that do not notify us prior to their workshop will be unable to reschedule. Workshops are non-refundable.

We do offer the option to reschedule your workshop. You can reschedule up to 48 hours prior to your workshop. No-shows will not be rescheduled, and no refunds will be issued.

Our candle-making workshops typically last about two (2) hours. Candles may take up to 2 additional hours to cure.

The workshop includes all the materials and tools necessary to create your own beautiful candle. You will receive hands-on guidance from an experienced instructor who will walk you through each step of the candle-making process. Your handmade candle comes in varying styles and sizes, allowing for personal creativity and preference. For those interested in creating larger volume candles, we offer an upgrade option for an additional charge. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a unique, high-quality candle and the knowledge and skills to make more candles on your own. Most candles will not lose their scent if left untouched for a long period of time. Actually, the longer they cure or are left in a warm, dry place, away from direct sunlight, the better the scent or scent throw.

Your item will usually be shipped within 7-10 business days to ship and you should receive your package within 2-3 business days, depending on your zip code.

Candles typically need to dry for at least two hours before they are safe to transport. Guests are encouraged to return during normal business hours to pick up their candle.

Our perfume-making workshops typically last between 1.5 to 2 hours.

Our perfume-making workshop includes a 30ml bottle of a handcrafted fragrance created by you. Larger bottles are available at an additional charge.

Our perfume/colognes are the strength of an eau de parfum.
