A: Just one person can book. Whether you're planning a solo creative break, a date night in Montrose, or a team event near Midtown, we've got you covered. Every session is staff-guided and runs about 1.5-2 hours. is needed to make a reservation at Black Phlox. Whether you're interested in our perfume, cologne, or candle-making workshops, you can easily book your spot alone. Our workshops are designed to ensure that every participant, regardless of group size, has an amazing experience exploring the art of fragrance creation.
All of our fragrances have an IFRA rating from the original manufacturer. Please see ifrafragrance.org for more detailed information. Feel free to reach out to our customer service department for specific information regarding one of our ingredients or scents.
A: At Black Phlox, we prioritize the safety of both our staff and customers. For this reason, we encourage non-cash transactions for purchases. You can conveniently pay using credit or debit cards, and we also accept digital payments through platforms like Zelle, CashApp, and Venmo. While we try not to accept cash for purchases, we do welcome cash tips for our staff. If you prefer to tip via digital methods, you can also use Zelle, CashApp, or Venmo. Your cooperation helps us maintain a secure and efficient environment for everyone. Thank you for understanding and supporting our safety measures.
A: At Black Phlox, we strive to provide an exceptional and uninterrupted experience for all participants in our fragrance workshops, whether it's for making perfume, cologne, or candles. We understand that unforeseen delays can occur, so we offer a 10-15 minute grace period for late arrivals. However, if you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you may not be allowed to attend the workshop to ensure minimal disruption to others. Please note that we do not offer reschedules or refunds for missed workshops due to late arrival. We encourage you to plan your travel time accordingly to fully enjoy the creative journey at Black Phlox.
Yes, we pride ourselves on safety first. All partiicpants must practice local, state, and federal regulations including social distancing, when applicable.
- Heightened cleaning protocol. We frequently sanitize common surfaces.
Social distancing. Establish practices to encourage social distancing. This may include limiting the number of participants allowed to participate at one time.
Change operations. Look for ways to minimize social interaction. E.g., curb-side pick-up, new technologies, reconfiguring lay-outs, or discontinuing certain practices.
-We consitiently train employees on best practices. Make sure your employees are washing their hands and understand other protocols you are putting in place to minimize risks.
-Requiring face masks. Based on local and state ordinances, we may require patrons and employees to wear masks. This is especially good idea if social distancing is difficult.
-Taking temperatures. This is permissible, as long as it is done for all participants.
A: At Black Phlox, we strongly recommend making an appointment for our any workshop
to ensure your spot. Reservations fill up fast due to high demand, and our schedules are constantly updated and posted on our website under the "Book a Workshop" section. Walk-ins are welcome, but we cannot guarantee availability without a prior reservation. Our workshops are typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 1pm and 6pm, and on Sunday and Monday at 1pm and 4:30pm. Booking in advance will help secure your preferred time and provide the best experience possible.
